United States banned import of beluga caviar in 2006 after listing beluga sturgeon under the U.S. Endangered Species Act and from April 2007 Beluga sturgeon caviar or Beluga sturgeon meat is prohibited for trade in USA.
Since United States prohibited imports of Beluga products Sturgeon AquaFarms, founded in 2003, has an unique position not only in the United States but globally, due to our successful breeding methods.
